FinCEN BOI report: you are exempt
Since August 14, 2026, companies formed in the US are permanently exempt from reporting beneficial ownership information (BOI) to FinCEN. Only foreign companies registered in the US still report.
Who it applies to
Every US LLC or corporation: the report no longer applies.
Why
Letters and ads still arrive charging to 'file your BOI before the penalty'. You do not need them.
If missed
Nothing to miss: there is no requirement.
When it is due
Example computed for a typical business. Your date depends on your answers.
